In fact, in one study, moxibustion on a specific point on the toe correlated to a breech baby turning over 65% of the time. Moxa comes from the herb mugwort and has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years. The purpose of moxibustion is to invigorate the blood, generate energy, maintain general health, and strengthen the immune and digestive systems. Additionally, it is known to relieve menstrual pain due to its increase in blood circulation to the pelvic area.
